Motorists Beware! Ola and Uber Cabs brings Traffic to a halt at the Western Express Highway!

Annoyed at government’s lukewarm response to their demands, the Ola and Uber drivers brought Mumbai traffic to a halt at Western Express Highway on Monday morning. According to reports, the Ola and Uber drivers choked the traffic on the Western Express Highway by parking their vehicles on lane number 4, 5 and 6 thus causing a massive traffic jam at vital areas of Kandivli and Andheri. Commuters faced great hardship.

It may be noted that it is the 8th day of Ola and Uber strike who are protesting against low earnings due to high fuel prices. They are demanding an assured business of Rs 3,000 a day, the fixed fare of Rs 16/km for small AC cars, Rs 18/km for AC Sedans, Rs 22/km for AC SUVs, and also want to be included in Mumbai’s taxi scheme.
