Sri Lanka’s Consul General Chamari Rodrigo delighted with India’s Tea & Coffee Expo 2018 :
The sixth Mumbai World Tea Coffee Expo (WTCE) 2018 held at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai got an overwhelming response. More than 70 companies representing seven countries converged at World Tea and Coffee Expo in Mumbai.
The event was inaugurated by Harshadeep Kamble, Development Commissioner (industries), Maharashtra; Chamari Rodrigo, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai, and Angelia Pardede, Deputy Director, Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre, inaugurated the event.
Chamari Rodrigo, Consul General of Sri Lanka said, “This is my first time at the exhibition. Sri Lanka is the fourth largest producer of tea and the second largest exporter. We have explored the markets for tea and other products.” She added, “We have various varieties of coffee, and there is a good potential for Sri Lanka products. We are happy to do business with India. India has a huge potential for tea and coffee business I am sure India and Sri Lanka relation will grow and we become good friends.”
Harshadeep Kamble on the occasion said, “With India growing increasingly in the tea and coffee sectors, in terms of production, consumption, and innovation such business events here establish the credentials of India’s tea, coffee and allied sectors in the global markets.”
