Hairstylist Aqeeb Khan accused of rape: Victim alleges Kashimira Police ineffective and impotent!
The Police are regarded as the ‘Guardian of Society’ but alas it is tragic that when the same ‘Guardian of Society’ becomes corrupt and shields the accused and ignores the victim then where should one seek justice? A rape victim alleges that the corrupt Kashimira Police is ideal examples who are shielding a famous hairstylist of Mumbai who raped her repeatedly and later dumped her like a waste in a bin!
The victim, Mariya, a six-month pregnant lady is now running from pillar to post after being kicked out by the Kashimira police! Frustrated and irked, Maria thus approached media for justice. In an Exclusive interview with ‘Hello Mumbai News Maria said, “I have lodged an FIR of Rape against the Aqeeb Khan, and his mother at Kashimira Police 2 months back on October 19, 2018, but alas the police have failed to arrest him.”
Working in an Event Company, Maria ,resides in a flat at Mira Road. Informing about the relationship she said, “I met the accused Aqeeb Khan on Facebook and very soon we become close friends. Our friendship blossomed into serious love. We started spending time together. Soon Aqeeb promised to marry me. This cemented our relation. Aqeeb started visiting my house and would involve in physical relationship.”
She added, “Though Aqeeb promised me of marriage but whenever I asked him about marriage he would ignore giving various excuses but when I confronted and insisted on marriage he immediately disconnected the relationship. In fact, his mother even forced me for abortion and tried to lure me by offering a huge amount of money. When I refused Aqeeb threatened me with dire consequences.”
Nevertheless, a bold Maria registered a complaint but alas the Kashimira Police has been giving her a step motherly treatment. Blasting the Kashimira Police for being ineffective and corrupt, Mariya said, “The Kashimira Police is useless and corrupt! Instead of protecting the victim they are shielding the criminal! It is a shame that Police these days have no daring and courage to arrest the rich and the famous criminal.” “It is no wonder why rape is on a rise in Mumbai because the Police of a city have become powerless and impotent,” she mourned!
Though Mariya has been disappointed by the Police she is happy that Mumbai does have some Good Samaritans like Yusuf Ansari, In Charge of Maulana Azad Vichaar Manch. Praising Yusuf Ansari who is also a senior congress leader and Gen Sec of Maulana Azad Vuchasr Munch Mariya said, “I am happy that Mumbai has some noble soul like Saddique Sir He is helping me a lot in giving me justice and punishing the culprit by putting him behind the bar!!”
When Hello Mumbai spoke to Mr Shengade Senior Police Inspector of Kashimira Police Station, they had a standard reply, “Our investigation is on. We would very soon arrest the accused.” Intresregly FIR has been lodge agsinag Aqeeb khan and her Mother Amrin khan under Section 376,504,506 and 34 IPC.
Today, Mariya is a helpless victim of rape like millions of women in India. She has lost faith in Police due to the negligence and ill-treatment by Kashimira Police Station. Hello Mumbai urges Thane Police Commissioner to take urgent action against Kashimira Police Station and slam them for their apathy and indifference to Mariya, the victim of rape!!
