“Why did Aditya Thackeray opt for Worli Assembly Constituency”?

Mumbai: One of the important assembly constituencies in the city of Mumbai is Worli (Assembly Area 182) stretching from Worli Koliwada to Haji Ali, Lower Parel, Worli Naka Hanuman Nagar, Police Camp, Gopal Nagar.including neighbouring. As of now in this assembly constituency, the number of Marathi speakers is remarkably large. Similarly, Mumbai is making a rapid growth with Worli being one of the cities to be awarded. The total number of voters in Worli assembly constituency is 2,65,091, While the male comprises 1,49,067 female is 1,16,024. The number of Marathi voters in the Worli assembly constituency is as a decision maker. There are various hassles in the Worli Constituency with the main being the BDD chawl. Notably Worli constituency is already considered a Shiv Sena stronghold.

By the way, the Worli assembly constituency is one of the reserved constituencies for the Shiv Sena, because it has already dominated the Shiv Sena. Right now, Arvind Sawant of Shiv Sena emerged victorious from the Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by more than 1 lakh votes. Apparently in the 2014 election, Shiv Sena candidate Sunil Shinde ousted NCP leader Sachin Ahir by a huge margin. In 2009, the same NCP leader Sachin Ahir won from the Worli assembly constituency Ater the 2014 assembly elections and the results thereof, people generated confidence and again elected Shiv Sena candidate Sunil Shinde. After the 2009 elections, the Shiv Sena candidate has been elected 6 times since 1990, so this constituency is said to be very safe for the Shiv Sena.

Now Aditya Thackeray, son of Uddhav Thackeray and the Chief of the Army himself, is contesting from this assembly constituency in the 2019 assembly elections. Hence this constituency has gained a lot of prominence because Aditya is the only member in the Thackeray family. For the first time, he is stepping into the election field. Earlier, Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray had also never contested elections. His son Uddhav Thackeray and nephew Ajay Thackeray too never made any attempts to contest elections in his Aaj Tak politics. As such Aditya Thackeray himself is gearing up to take charge of Shiv Sena by forging ahead in the election field. Prior to his entry iin this assembly area, Aditya Thackeray’s NCP leader Sachin Ahir had emerged victorious and made his victory even easier by joining the Shiv Sena.
Aditya Thackeray filed his nomination from the Worli Vidhan Sabha constituency on 3rd October. Being the first clan from the Thackeray parivar. MNS chief Raj Thackeray has also expressed his full to Aditya in a way by not having any candidate against Aditya. Therefore, Aditya’s victory has become even much easier. Apart from filling the nomination form, Aditya Thackeray started the publicity rally in Yehli assembly constituency with great fanfare. They are interacting with people in their home to ascertain their problems.
Other party candidates in Worli assembly constituency have also filed their nominations. They include Congress NCP alliance, deprived Bahujan Aghadis and other parties. Aditya Thackeray will be pitted against the Congress NCP alliance candidate Dr Suresh Mane. Hence it has been decided that the Worli assembly election will be very exciting,
