Mr. David J. Ranz the newly appointed US Consul General, Mumbai today 23 October 2019 took the privilege to vist Mumbai’s most sacred and prominent Haji Dargah and offered blissful prayers for prace and harmony in the troubled world. He felt the visit very pleasant and hailed it as an highly sacred and sanctified religious mosque of the Muslim Community.

The Haji Ali Dargah is a mosque and dargah (tomb) or the monument of Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari located on an islet off the coast of Worli in the southern part of Mumbai. Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari was a kind Sufi saint with a wealthy merchant from Uzbekistan. Near the heart of the city proper, the dargah is one of the most recognisable landmarks of Mumbai.

Notably, the Dargah is not restricted to the muslim community but to all irrespective of caste creed and religion. One visit to this recognizable mosque gives one a blissful feeling and feel blessed. Moreover it is also a tourist attraction particularly those coming to India from countries across the seven seas. The centuries old Haji Ali Dargah though on an islet doesn’t prove a danger even as being hit by turbulent waves during the high-tide.
