Mumbai: 20 year old girl falls into Oshiwara River opposite Mega Mall- declared dead in hospital

Mumbai: In a shocking incident a 20 year old girl, Komal, resident of Anand Nagar, Oshiwara, fell into the Oshiwara River, opposite Mega Mall at 8 pm on Tuesday.

Mumbai Police, K-Ward Officials and Mumbai Fire Brigade reached the spot after receiving an information from a passerby who saw the girl falling into the Oshiwara river, and started the rescue operation

After hours of search operation she was removed outside and was taken to the nearby hospital but was declared dead

According to Police Officer there are about four-feet tall grills on both sides and hence it is difficult to term it as an accidental fall into the river.
