Maharashtra ATS busted Mephedrone factory and seized huge quantity of Narcotics
On dated 06/12/2019 Anti Terrorism Squad, Juhu Unit, Mumbai team had arrested accused namely 1) Mahendra Parshuram Patil, age 49 yrs. 2) Santosh Balasaheb Adake, age 29 yrs., who were involved in trafficking of narcotic substance MD (Mephedrone) powder and had seized 14.300 Kg. MD (Mephedron) drugs worth Rs. 5 Crore 60 Lakh 60 Thousand from Vileparle, Mumbai and Saswad, Pune. In pursuance of this an offence was registered vide CR No. 11/2019, U/s 8(C), 22, 29 NDPS Act, 1985 at ATS. Both arrested accused are in judicial custody.
During further investigation in this case ATS Juhu unit P.I. Daya Nayak and A.P.I. Sagar Kungir thoroughly investigated the activities of arrested accused Santosh Balasaheb Adake, investigation revealed that Adake was manufacturing MD (Mephedrone) at Shree Alfa Chemicals at post-Dive, Taluka- Purandar, Dist-Pune.
On 19/02/2020 ATS Juhu unit raided the factory and seized 10.500 Kg MD (Mephedrone) drugs, worth around Rs. 4.2 Crores and raw chemical, MD manufacturing unit valued at approx. Rs. 1.2 Crore. According to experts 200 Kg of MD (Rs. 80 Crore) could have been produced from this seized raw chemicals.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of ATS Chief ADGP, Shri. Deven Bharti, DIG Shri. Jayant Naiknavare, DCP, Vikram Deshmane, Dr. Vinaykumar Rathod and ACP, Shripad Kale by PI Daya Nayak, API Sagar Kunjir, Dashrath Vitkar, Sachin Patil, PSI Rawool and staff.
