TRF SEMINAR HELD ON 22.02.2020 AT HOTEL SAHARA STAR Rotary International (RI), a 115-year-old international organisation spread over 200 nations, has evolved worldwide as a potent change agent for the betterment of society. Rotary, with its Head Office in Evanston, Chicago, is one of the very few NGOs in the world philanthropist Bill Gates trusts the right use of his donations with. Of its 529 international districts in the world, RI District 3141 (Mumbai) is a conglomeration of 103 clubs in Mumbai and Palghar. Rotary district 3141 in Mumbai has organized a grand and highly successful Seminar on Rotary Foundation Seminar on Saturday, 20.02.2020 at Hotel Sahara Star. The event was organized by Rotary club of Mumbai Elegant (All Ladies Club), supported by 10 other Rotary clubs namely Mumbai North End, Mumbai West End, Bombay Mahakali Heights, Bombay Peninsula, Bombay Sea Face, Mumbai Malabar Hills, Mumbai Nariman Point, Mumbai North Island, Mumbai Parleshwar, Mumbai Western Elite. At this momentous occasion large hearted donors from Mumbai were ceremoniously recognized at the hands of Chief Guest, Rotary International Director, Kamal Sanghvi. District Governor Harjit Singh Talwar bowed his head to the benevolence of Rotarians and corporates for supporting Rotary Foundation. Chief Guest, RI Director Kamal in his most powerful and mesmerizing speech explained on why we should give to the Rotary Foundation. Organised with much élan and style, the Seminar under the leadership of DG Harjit, TRF Avenue Chairman and Convener Chetan Desai and supported by Counsellor Akkshay Mehta and AC Ganesh Vishwanathan exceeded all expectations with the fervour and frenzy it generated for supporting the TRF. The event was hosted by the charming ladies Rotary Club of Mumbai Elegant, led by Club President Twinkle Sanghavi. “This Foundation Seminar was one of the best I have attended in my over 47 years of Rotary Membership. The hospitality, the reception, the environment, the program, the food were all praise worthy. To raise this kind of funds for the cause of Foundation was not new but presentation made all the difference.” Past Rotary International Director Ashok Mahajan’s comment says it all. Rotary Foundation is among the highest rated NGO in the world and has been hailed high for its commitment in “Doing Good in the World”.

Working with various Governments and Non-Governmental bodies, Rotary has been instrumental in eradicating Polio from the world (except in two countries, where the efforts are still on).
Rotary trains 100 Peace Fellows, including bureaucrats and well placed professionals, all over the world every year who return to their countries to spread the message of peace.
Rotary is serving the world in very many areas including literacy, clean water, disease prevention and cure, saving mothers & children and promoting local economies in 529 Districts in the world.
