Mumbai: Mumbai Schools shut down due to Coronavirus as precautionary measure
Mumbai: Mumbai City top schools on Thursday decided to shut down as a precautionary measure and to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Following are those schools who have declared holiday till further notice :
Witty International
Utpal Sanghnvi
Rustomjee
R.N. Shah high school
Cathedral
Goldcrest International Vashi
Dhirubhai Ambani
Villa Theresa
Oberoi
Don Bosco
Edubridge international
J B Petit
Green Acres
Besides the above Schools who have declared holiday, other top schools who have shut down are
South Mumbai’s Cathedral and John Connon School, Utpal Shanghvi Global School, Juhu,
citing the positive cases reported from the western suburbs as the reason to keep the school closed for two days as a “proactive precautionary measure.
Other Schools said they would close early for their spring break.
Rustomjee School has declared holidays and no exams upto 8th standard.
Students up to 8th standard are promoted to the next academic year.
Rustomjee School in Borivli too has declared holiday and cancelled final exams for 1st to 8th standard
Meanwhile, Many educational institutions also cancelled events as a precaution. The Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research has temporarily deferred its convocation ceremony for autonomous programmes and other events.
Exceptions are made for students appearing for the Board Exams.
