


Mumbai: Rotary Club of Bombay transport food relief to poor and needy people in Malegaon
Mumbai: As part of their distribution of food kits to the poor and needy people during the ongoing nationwide lockdown imposed to contain the spread of Coronavirus, in addition to the 20,000 packets of ready to eat Poha and Upma that were arranged yesterday, Thursday, today, Friday, the Rotary Club of Bombay, embarked on the distribution of 1000 hot Khichdi Meals* to the devouts observing the holy *Ramadhan fast* just prior to their time of breaking the fast.
This was done in close co-ordination with the *Malegaon police* amid curfew conditions in many places. The distribution of day-to-day 1000 meals will continue till the end of the lockdown period on 3rd May.
The meals are being prepared at the Kitchen of former Rotarian who agreed to start serving this on our behalf just in a matter of 4 hours time today, Friday, 1st May, 2020.
This service is yet another shining example of the power and connect of Rotary Club, always in service.
