Mumbai: Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal  has directed Assistant commissioners to file police complaints against shut private hospitals and nursing homes notwithstanding the directives of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to stay open amid the lockdown.

In order to cater to non-COVID-19 patients, the Civic Body had issued directives to all the private nursing homes and hospitals to keep functioning even amid lockdown. . But many private hospitals and nursing homes continue to stay shut.
