Mumbai: Mumbai under Red Alert Cyclonic storm Nisarga, may hit Maharashtra and Gujarat on June 3 after 129 years.
Mumbai: Maharashtra is bracing for first ever Cyclone in its history.
According to IMD on Tuesday the tropical storm Nisarga, heading towards Gujarat and Maharashtra, may possibly intensify into a “severe cyclonic storm” in the next 24 hours and is expected to make landfall close to Mumbai tomorrow.
At the moment, the storm is brewing in the Arabian sea near Lakshadweep. Earlier, IMD had issued an orange alert for Mumbai and Thane and a red alert for Palgarh. This threat comes at a time when the State is struggling with massive rise in number of coronavirus cases — already past the 70,000 mark.
