Mumbai: Mira-Bhayandar Corporators Disha Martin Marvel and Parmar Hetal Ratilal share their views and experience amid Covid-19 induced lockdown lockdown and migrant labours.

Mumbai: Even as the financial hub Mumbai continues to battle the war waged by Covid-19 pandemic, Migrant Labourers , vegetable venders, workers facing more challenges for their basic need took to the roads and highways in their arduous journey to their native place.

To help and co-operate with the migrants Corporators and many NGO’s stretched their hands for them.
Likewise Mira-Bhayandar Corporators Disha Martin Marvel (cong ward no 19 )  and Parmar Hetal Ratilal (BJP ward no 20 ) while speaking to Shikha Singh, Hello Mumbai News reporter, she said that she has been working selflessly 24/7 to help all the people in need with food, milk and water which is very important for all the people under stress amid the lockdown.

Hetal further said “In Mira Bhayandar cases are continuously increasing as people dont follow the now.

While people staying in building can keep social distancing and be safe, but for the persons staying in rural areas or slums it’s hard for them to maintain , social distancing and avoid to come in contact with other such as they use public toilets. The people who earn daily wages or monthly salary are moving towards their villages because they have limited saving although there are people who live in rented house are living because after 3 months, they have to pay back their rent.”

In what way is she stretching her hand for the benefit of people?
Towards Medical check-up and free medicine campaign

She articulated “I am providing food, medicine and raw material and also helped the migrants by with free train service to their native place and also provided them free medical campaign and free check-up and blood donation campaign adding “people should remain calm and after unlocking of Lockdown they need to be more conscious and to not to feel scared about the virus and follow the guideline given by the government.”
The Corporator corporator has been serving the people from day one of lockdown.
According to Disha, “my experience of lockdown is very sad because the people who came for very first time from abroad should would have been in more observation and quarantine rather than sending them all back to hometown. as given little bit of hope after listening this. But I don’t understand government lockdown.

At that time around there was least number of cases and now after unlocking, peak of this virus has emerged .

So, suggests everyone to take care of themselves and the safety is in their hand.
