Mumbai: Speaking to Hello Mumbai News Correspondent Neha Singh over phone, Shekar Brahmbhatt, Social Activist, Ahmedabad, affirmed that when Covid 19 erupted the town, many preferred remaining confined to the four walls of their home. But, Shekhar Brahmnhatt found many opportunities to serve.
Amid lockdown he and his team distributed food packets in the slum areas continuously for one month. The food packets have been prepared amid proper precautions and maintaining health and hygiene.
He went on to add that they even home quarantined nearly 500 Covid patients and 400 people suspected with symptoms. Instructions were given to them over a phone call what to be given to eat in the morning and how to stay up all day so that one can recover from Covid-19 pandemic. Notably, they got the desired results. All patients have successfully recovered. Their Volunteers had distributed masks and sanitizers in nearby villages.
They associated with Shree Meldimata Shaktipith (Ramosana) organisation and alongwith them they distributed Ayurvedic extracts to 10,000 people for boosting immunity. Till now,those 10,000 people have not been affected by Covid-19.
They honored Shree Meldimata Shaktipith (Ramosana) for making the Ayurvedic extracts.
He added that the main challenge is while distributing food packets, masks and sanitizers some people were not accepting the food packets, masks and sanitizers because of covid-19 fear and had no trust in them. When they were told that we take proper precautions while preparing food they then accepted the food packets.
