Amid Pandemic  she had the key role in setting up total eight indoor wards with 165 beds out of 350beds dedicated for covid patients in Civil hospital panchkula
Average daily OPD of Covid 350 average daily indoor 140 . Average daily iCU admissions 14 death rate 0.3 %,Total OPD 17597 and IPD 1755 and 7000 total Positive Separate Flu OPD ,screening of patients, migrants, travellers and sample collection unit. Nodal officer for setting up ICU during Lock down and it’s operationalisation . She also Organised diet for all patients through donations from NGO, providing lo 6 daily meals for Covid patients.
Besides these,she had assisted in Setting Molecular lab for inhouse Rapid test of Swabs.12 bedded covid ICU under expansion and HVAC for hospital has been revised as per guidelines. Â Plasma Extraction setup in blood bank. Hand wash station and sampling kiosk has been installed for strengthening Infection control practice in Hospital with Rotary Chandigarh Midtown
About Dr.Rita Kalra:

Dr. Rita Kalra (Senior Medical Officer,Hospital Administration General Hospital, Panchkula). She is a member of IMA Panchkula, HCMS association Haryana and Rotary Midtown Chandigarh. Dr Rita kalra is head of department of Hospital administration at Civil Hospital Panchkula. As Quality administrator she has played a key role in accreditation of hospital for NQAS NABL Kayakalp Laqshay as per benchmarks defined by Quality Council of India. She heads the HR of about 1000 employees of 300 bedded hospital in various categories of Regular contractual and outsourcing schemes.
Eupchar for computerisation of hospital records has improved reporting and record keeping under her leadership.
Infrastructure maintenance ,an ongoing process for upkeep and quality care of patients is supervised by her.
She supervises all these activites that they should perform well. She served Rotary by handling various positions like Secretary, Director Youth Service, District Interact Chair, District Literacy Coordinator and District Chair Interact, District Literacy Coordinator and many other positions
She has been honoured with various awards for her humanitarian work . Some of are DG 2012-13 special award for contribution in Rotary service, Best secretary award 2013-14, Helen Keller award for contribution towards disability rehabilitation .She has also been Honored by Governor of Haryana on International Women’s Day for her contribution in the field of medicine. On record she has won 77 awards while as Best President 2017-18 of District 3080 and Rotarian of the year 2019-20 and many other awards.
She is a multifaceted personality and has been managing time efficiently. Her regular yoga and meditation session gives strength to her soul to fight stress and anxiety.
She as well finds time for community connect through Rotary Clubs.
