Britain moved faster than the U.S. and Europe to designate Pfizer’s, BioNTech’s covid-19 vaccine safe and effective for use in U.K. It has instilled a ray of joy among the people welcoming the arrival of the Covid-19 Vaccine.

The U.K. authorized a vaccine developed by Pfizer Inc. and Germany’s BioNTech SE for emergency use, the first clearance by a Western government of one of three promising vaccines that have recently been shown to be effective against covid-19.
The government expects to start vaccinating people within days.

In an interaction with UK Correspondent Kamal Prabhakar, Virendra Sharma exclaimed “I’m delighted the UK has been at the forefront of developing a covid-19 vaccine.
It’s a testimony to the strength of the UK Medical Research Industry that they have forayed into such an important development with the introduction of the Covid-19 Vaccine in UK.”

He added that “associating with partners always speeds these processes up and hopes that after Brexit we will continue to collaborate and create partnerships around the world dedicated to advancing our scientific endeavours.”
