

A major fire broke out in Mankhurd area of Mumbai on Friday afternoon. Scrap material collected in Mankhurd caught fire as several water tankers rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
Eleven fire engines and as many tankers were engaged in the firefighting operation.according to fire brigade officials.
Several water tankers too rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
The incident occurred in Mandala area of Mankhurd around 2.45 pm.
Fire brigade officials report that the fire was a Level 3 blaze
Harish Nadkar, 40-year-old fire officer, who was has injured while trying to douse the blaze is in a stable condition.
According to the latest input at 6.45 pm, firefighters have still not been able to douse the blaze.
