Notwithstanding NCB”s continuous crackdown on Drug Traffickers and Drug Suppliers and arrests of many, yet the dubious activity is continuing mindlessly and with no fear to law.

In a recent case, NCB acting on specific information, alongwith its Team laid their hands on aToyota Innova parked at a spot in Badlapur Thane District, and seized 14 packets containing cannabis wrapped in plastic tape weighing 2 Kilogram each, totally weighing 28 Kilogram

. The seizure was carried out under Panchanama dated 25/04/2021 in NCB CR No. 43/2021 of NCB Mumbai. Notably, Nine packets containing Cannabis were concealed in the cavity made in the rare side of the said vehicle and five packets contains Ganja concealed in the underneath of bonnets.

One Jaybharat Rathod of Badlapur has been detained for further interrogation. Regrettably, the prime supplier of the said contraband is one Sunil Bhandari who is at present absconding. Further investigations are underway to intercept him and to trace the origin of Cannabis.
