Senior Leaders Loksabha MP Varsha Gaikwad,Arif Naseem Khan, Aslam Shsikh at Mumbai Pradesh Congress Committee office in South Mumbai.
Sources in the Congress party revealed Sanjay Panday is excepted to Contest Assembly Election from Versova Constituency.
While Addressing the Press Conference at MRCC Mr Sanjay Panday said,” I was Supposed to join Congress party in 2004 I know Gandhi family Very well I believe in Secularism and Congress party is best option for me am joining a family not party I am thankful to Varsha Gaikwad and Vankatesh ji wo came from Delhi to support me No need to scare me from any Central agencies we will fight together again injustice,”
Brief About Sanjay Panday:Â
Sanjay Panday known for his dynamic personality and good nature his career was full of Controversy.During his period as a Police Commissioner of Mumbai he took action against BJP’s political leader .he was lableed great supporter of Mahavikas Aghadi.He was also considered a blue eyed of Uddhav Thackeray.
After his retirement Mr Pandey was soon arrested on 19 July 2022 by ED in connection with the alleged illegal phone tapping of NSE employees from 2009 to 2017.
Mr Sanjay Pandey is a retired 1986-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. After primary education in Mumbai, Pandey graduated from IIT-Kanpur (1979 – 1983) where he completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. Later, he interned at Crompton Greaves, Mumbai as a programming intern.Most of the time during his career he served in Mumbai Police and Maharashtra police with different posts.
