Mumbai Congress planning to declare Former MP Priya Dutt as a Candidate from Bandra West Constituency.All though officially it is not yet declared and not confirmed by Priya Dutt.

As per the Media report Mumbai Congress President Varsha Gaikwad and former Minister Aslam Shaikh met Priya Dutt at her Bandra residence and convinced her to Contest Assembly Election from Bandra West.

” its our party decesion we want her to contest Assambly Election from Bandra West she is popular face among the people our Mumbai President Varsha Gaikwad ji recommended her name to our party headquarter very soon officially announcement will be declared, because we want to form the Government in Maharashtra at any cost our preparation is underway way am sure Priya Ji will convened and she will contest from Bandra West, she has been two times MP has vast experience of politics,” Said Nizamuddin Ryan Spokesman of Mumbai Pradesh Congress committee.

Brief Introduction of Priya Dutt:
Daughter of late actor and Former (MP) Minister Sunil Dutt and sister of Actor Sanjay Dutt.She has been two times Member of Parliament from North West Loksabha Constituency.But for the last 10 years she is not in active politics.But has good images among the Minority communities in western western Suburbs.

Currently From Bandra West Constituency Mr Ashish Shelar is Two time MLA from Bhartiya Janata party From Congress Baba Siddiqui and Asif Zakaria lost Assembly Election against Adv Ashish Shelar.Ashish Shelar is senior BJP leader and former Minister of Maharashtra,very active and dynamic leader of Mumbai.

For Priya Dutt to win Election against Adv Ashish Shelar is not so easy.
