New Year’s Celebration with Law and Order in Sensitive Mankhurd

Mumbai: Madhu Ghorpade, a lady senior police inspector of the Mankhurd Police Station, and her colleagues performed their duties with dedication. On New Year’s Eve yesterday, Mankhurd citizens were given renewed confidence in law and order following a successful election vote counting procedure at Mumbai’s highly controversial and sensitive Mankhurd – Shivajinagar Assembly

New year’s welcome celebration has been recorded nationwide with great enthusiasm. Mumbai also celebrates this occasion on a grand scale. Mankhurd police station, which is a section of zone 6 and is situated at the gate of Mumbai city, maintained the celebration under law and order. Mankhurd police station was labeled as a crime-prone police station a few years ago. Additionally, a few dashing police officers tried to remove this identification. Recently, the Home Department surprised the citizens by appointing a Lady police officer at such a crime prone police station, but the lady police officers are now consistently showing her capabilities.

Mankhurd Police Station’s officers and the police personnel seemed to have taken the December 31 events very seriously. In order to minimize crime, strict blockades were put in place at key locations, such as Vashi Naka, T Junction, and Mangalmurti Junction. Mankhurd Police Station has many slums under its territory. However, 9 vehicles continued to patrol throughout the night. The celebrations of the new year went over without any incidents due to the dedicated efforts of Senior Police Inspector Madhu Ghorpade & her colleagues, 2 Police Inspector, 7 Asst.Polive Inspector, 13 P.S.I, 128 police personnel of mankhurd police station and 21 personals of reserved force.

According to Zone 6 DCP restrictions, all bars and Chinese hotels alongwith the hawkers in this area were closed at 10 p.m. During the at mid night patrolling operation, 27 lawbreakers were found, and a thorough search was conducted for key preventive measures and absconding criminals. Mankhurd Police Station’s Crime Branch team launched a special combing operation in the Mandala, Sathe Nagar, and PMGP Colony slums. Meanwhile, the ATC team kept careful watch on drug-related criminals in order to control drug and narcotics sales. Apart from that, 25 criminals were given notices as preventive measures for December 31st.
