Celebrating diversity and unity,Mumbai Queer Pride Month 2025 kicked off with a heartwarming event, “Queer Hugs,” at the pristine sands of Juhu Beach on January 4th. This event set the tone for a month-long celebration of love, acceptance, and diversity. The LGBTQIA+ community and allies came together to share hugs, stories, and a sense of belonging, marking the beginning of a vibrant and inclusive series of events.

The upcoming events promise to be equally engaging and impactful:

Mumbai Pride Month 2025.

January 11: Amma’s Pride and U for Usha  A captivating film screening by Gaysi Family, showcasing stories of resilience and love.
January 12: Queer Premier League – Organized by Umang LBT and Gaysi Family, this exhilarating sports event celebrates athleticism and camaraderie within the community.
January 12: Pride Bus – Hosted by Color Positive Foundation, this event reclaims a vibrant and iconic double-decker bus as a space for celebration and expression of queerness.
January 12: Q Games – Organized by Yaariyan and The Humsafar Trust, featuring fun tele games like the lemon and spoon race, and the three-legged race on the gleaming sands of Juhu.
January 18: Anubhav, Youth Festival – By QKnit Foundation, this event highlights the self-awareness and creativity of youth through engaging poster competitions, poetry, debates, and more.
January 19: Trans Lives Matter A crucial and enlightening discussion on transgender lives, hosted by Color Positive Foundation.
January 19: Flash Mob – A vibrant tradition by Yaariyan and The Humsafar Trust, aiming to raise awareness through a dynamic public performance.
January 26: What The Folks Organized by Keshav Suri Foundation and Harish Iyer, this event is a delightful day out with parents, friends, siblings, colleagues, and teachers of queer individuals.
January 26: Gulabi Mela- A vibrant and colorful fair by Yaariyan and The Humsafar Trust, featuring lively performances, stalls by queers and allies, and lots of dancing.

The grand finale of the month is the Mumbai Queer Pride March on *February 1st*, starting near August Kranti Maidan at 3 PM. This march is a powerful statement of unity and pride, bringing together thousands of individuals to celebrate their identities and advocate for equality. The day will conclude with multiple post-pride parties and fundraisers, including the electrifying Pride Bomb by Salvation Star & IT Events, an extra special party by Gaysi Family, and a celebratory post-pride party by Nasty Boys.
