On April 22, 2025, a militant attack occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, targeting tourists in the Baisaran meadow area, approximately 5 km from the town. The assailants opened fire on a group of Indian tourists, resulting in at least one fatality and injuring over 20 others, some critically. The victims were evacuated to local hospitals, and security forces have cordoned off the area while initiating a manhunt for the perpetrators .

In Pahalgam terror attack 12  Tourists insured and two died today in Jammu Kashmir’s Anantnag district. According to Media report most of the tourists were from Maharashtra Gujarat and Tamilnadu.
As per Media report,PM Narendra Modi took it very seriously and asked Home Minister Amit Shah to visit Kashmir.
All injured tourists have been admitted to nearby hospital.
Military and Security forces have launched Search Opration to arrest the terrorists.
