1: Could you introduce yourself for our readers?
People often ask me, how many years of experience do I have in logistics or how old is Parcel Go? I tell them, ParcelGo is about a year old. My experience in the logistics sector is ‘I was born into it.’ My great grandfather started a clearing and onforwarding company in 1929, my father started a courier company in 1988. Therefore in 2029 as a family we will complete 100 years in logistics.
2: How did you come up with your business idea?
My father always shared his experience with businesses abroad especially in the U.S and Europe and how they are way ahead than India in terms of technological advancement. That made me resolute to build a tech driven express delivery company that is 100% Indian and that’s how ParcelGo was born and we will eventually go global with an international footprint.
3: Tell something about your Startup/ Company/ Organization and how people can benefit from it.
We offer international and domestic express delivery service where delivery solutions are 100% custom built to suit the customer’s business needs. We have a fully functional web portal, a mobile application to make shipping as easy as hailing a cab. ParcelGo also offers a brilliant referral program where customers can refer us to their friends and family and win exciting gifts like a Macbook for foreign holidays.
We offer the right combination of operational agility and speed and structure at the same time.
4: What is the goal of your Startup/ Company and how are you planning to achieve it?
We are committed to make shipping easy for Indian businesses and support them to take their products to every corner of the world. ParcelGo is also committed to being the world’s most profitable express delivery company. We are conscious of the environment and are therefore keen on being lean and green.
5: What is the USP of your business and how are you different from others?
We are lean and asset light, allowing us to keep our costs low. We offer a complete custom designed shipping solution to all our customers. ParcelGo offers same day next day express delivery service anywhere in India. We also do import from any country in the world which is a fantastic opportunity for small businesses and individuals who want to order a product from anywhere in the world.
6: Where do you want to see your business in the next five years?
We want to be serving over a million customers everyday across the globe in the next 5 years. This will allow us to generate over 10 Billion US dollars in revenue.
7: What piece of advice would you give someone who is an aspiring Entrepreneur?
Focus on your strengths, and what you excel at, that will make success easy for you. If you cannot handle pressure and stress, don’t start a business, take up a job and live happily.
8: What type of challenges and difficulties have you faced and how have you overcome them?
The most difficult aspect about starting a new venture is finding balance between work and life. I try to involve my wife as much as possible in our business so spend maximum time together.
The important thing is to find customers, don’t focus on anything else except finding a customer to begin with, everything else will take care of itself. Start generating revenue from day one, period.
