It is the duty of the Election Commission to conduct elections in a free and transparent manner, but now questions are being raised over this vital pillar of democracy. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has repeatedly exposed how the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is allegedly committing vote theft with the help of the Election Commission.

Under the leadership of Mumbai Youth Congress President Zeenat Shabrin, Youth Congress office bearers carried out an awareness campaign against vote theft by distributing pamphlets in Mumbai Metro and local trains.

Zeenat Shabrin and Youth Congress members travelled on the Ghatkopar–Saki Naka and Andheri–Goregaon routes, interacting with commuters and exposing the alleged vote theft by the Election Commission and the BJP. Pamphlets were distributed to spread awareness among the public and inform them about the issue. Citizens were urged to actively participate in the movement against vote theft to safeguard democracy.

“Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi is fighting to protect democracy and the Constitution. He has exposed, with evidence, the corrupt practices of the Election Commission and those attempting to strangle democracy. The Youth Congress stands firmly with Rahul Gandhi in this fight and is conducting a mass awareness drive against vote theft,” said Mumbai Youth Congress President Zeenat Shabrin.
