Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has issued an official order announcing a key administrative transfer in the state bureaucracy, appointing senior IAS officer Manisha Mhaiskar to a new position in Mantralaya.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) at Mantralaya, Mhaiskar has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary in the Home Department. He will assume the post following the vacancy created after the transfer of the previous incumbent, Dr A.S. Chehal.
The order directs Mhaiskar to take charge of his new assignment with immediate effect. It also instructs all concerned departments to complete the necessary handover and update official records, including entries in the electronic service records (e-office and e-HRMS systems).
The communication has been circulated to senior officials across key state departments, including the Chief Minister’s Office, the Home Department, the Revenue and Forest Department, and the Public Works Department, to ensure smooth implementation of the transfer.
The directive was issued under the signature of a senior official of the General Administration Department and dated January 30, 2026, from Mantralaya, Mumbai.
