Bhiwandi, Maharashtra: In a major breakthrough in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) question paper leak case, the Bhiwandi Police have arrested the two alleged masterminds behind the racket from Bihar during an early morning operation.

The accused, identified as Bijendra Kumar Gupta and Indrajit Sinha, were apprehended at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday following a coordinated investigation by the police.

With these latest arrests, the total number of accused arrested in the case has risen to 14. Earlier, Bhiwandi Police had arrested 12 individuals, whose interrogation helped investigators uncover the larger network involved in the alleged question paper leak.
The leak had led to the postponement of the Maharashtra TET examination, which was scheduled to be held on June 28, after authorities received credible information regarding the compromise of the examination paper.

Police officials said the investigation is continuing to identify other members of the racket and determine the full extent of the conspiracy. Further arrests are expected as the probe progresses.
The Maharashtra TET examination is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates aspiring to become teachers in schools across the state. The paper leak has raised serious concerns over the integrity of the examination process, prompting law enforcement agencies to intensify their investigation.
