Supa, Maharashtra | February 08 – Taural India today commissioned its second aluminium sand castingmanufacturingfacilityinIndia,locatedinSupa,Maharashtra, followingitsfirstplantinPune. The facility was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis,markingasignificantexpansionofIndia’sadvancedmanufacturingcapabilityinaluminium casting and a major industrial development for the region.
Spread across 30 acres, the Supa facility substantially augments Taural India’s production capacity and strengthens the company’s ability to serve both domestic and international markets. Designed to meet global engineering and sustainability benchmarks, the plant integrates automation, digital processcontrols,andadvancedqualitysystemstomanufacturecomplex,high-tolerancealuminium components for sectors such as defence, mobility, energy, aerospace, marine, railways, and industrial infrastructure.
Beyond manufacturing scale, the Supa project represents a meaningful boost to the local economy and regional employment landscape. As operations scale, the facility is expected to generate over 1,200 direct employment opportunities, with additional indirect benefits across logistics, services, andlocalsupplyecosystems.Theplantcontributestothebroaderneedforindustrialgrowthin Tier II and Tier III regions, reducing migration pressures on metros while creating stable, skill-based career pathways closer to home.
The project was initiated following a Memorandum of Understanding signed at the World Economic ForuminDavosin2025andhas movedfrominvestmentintenttofull-scaleoperationswithinayear, underscoring Maharashtra’s growing credibility as a destination where global manufacturing commitments translate into timely execution on the ground.
