Mumbai: Laxman Raut has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board in Mumbai, officials confirmed.
The appointment comes as part of the Maharashtra government’s ongoing administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening governance and improving efficiency across key departments. As CEO, Raut will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of various schemes related to khadi, rural industries, and village-based employment initiatives across the state.
The Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board plays a crucial role in promoting traditional industries, self-employment, and sustainable rural development, aligning with national initiatives to boost local manufacturing and entrepreneurship.
