Christians ring in Christmas in Mumbai with immense joy.

1. The Wodehouse Church, Colaba,often called the Holy Name Cathedral Church, witnesses a wonderful Christmas celebration accompanied by spectacular decorations. It would be hard to believe that even the structure of the church is over 100 years old. 3. The Afghan Church Colaba is rated as pone of the popular churches in Colaba, this one holds a historical significance as Britishers built this church in memory of all soldiers who lost their lives in the first Afghan war.

Presently referred to as Saint John’s Church, the building itself is a symbol of heritage. It shines in a unique beauty when the renowned Wild Voices Choir gives their performances on Christmas. Post that, a holy communion also takes place.

4. The White Church, St. Thomas Cathedral
The magnificence of this church is surreal. It opened its gates on the day of Christmas itself in 1718. The white colored structure of the building is simply beautiful. Last year, this church had a huge celebration on the occasion of its 300th anniversary. The first Anglican glasswork was also been showcased here only. 5. The tallest towers of Gloria Church

in Byculla, has the tallest towers one would ever see in any church in Mumbai. It was originally situated at the hills of Mazagaon but shifted here during the years of 1911 to 1913. It is styled amazingly in a Gothic way. The stained glass adds more to its beauty. People come to attend the midnight mass from faraway places. The singing of carols starts at 10 pm.

Historical Saint Andrew church is one of the oldest churches in Mumbai. Indeed, this is a very soothing place which has been situated in such a way that it overlooks the Arabian Sea. It has been designed with Portuguese architecture consisting of two bell towers alongside. Until 1620, it remained the first church in Bandra built near the seashore. As the clock strikes at 10 pm, the singing of carols start.

At this church, the Christmas in Mumbai becomes all the more special, and so does the midnight mass when the sea also seems to be singing carols along with everyone.
