Brief Introduction of Kamal Prabhakar :

Many times we find those who have achieved massive success are more like superheroes than real people. The truth is that EVERYONE has to start somewhere when entering the job market with an humble beginning.

One such person who made his initial start in his professional career is Kamal Prabhakar. Kamal set his foot in the United Kingdom from far away Uganda to begin his career. This was in 1969. He took up a job as a partimer when he was just 14 years old. Gradually he worked his way up by taking up a job with a Super Market Chain as an Assistant Manager.

After gaining experience and tips of business he floated his own Super Market as family business when he reached the age of 25 years.
Thereafter, he sold the Super Market and got associated in a Post Office.

Later, on knowing the pros and cons of post office business, in 1988, acquired a tiny Sub-Post Office and prospered in it. The tide somewhat turned in his favour and he turned out to become an household name in the Post Office Circles. When Prabhakar sensed that success has come his way, he floated a chain of Post Offices and subsequently Branch Offices.

He is the first ever Asian to open a Post Office in Canary wharf  ,United Kingdom in 1995.
Unfortunately and or ironically, tragedy struck the Prabhakar family in the year 1998. His son Amit Prabhakar slipped away from their midst to another world. Amit happened to be a prolific cricketer and had played for England Under 19 and for Essex County.

To perpetuate the memory of his son Amit, Kamal launched Amit Prabhakar Cricket Academy in 2003. The Academy was unveild by Cricket icons Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra and Pakistan Cricketers Saqlain Khan and Mushtaq.

Thereafter, he pulled down the shutters of his Post Office business in 2004 after the London Services Award in recognition of 10 years of unstinted service from the Post Office Managing Director.

Later, he ventured into hospitality business by starting a restaurant called SURUCHI and supplied Samosas and Pakoras in the same brand to Super Markets such as Tesco. Meanwhile he sold this Samosa business to Tesco and which is yet trading.

From 2005 to 2009, he worked as Consultant to some organisations including Real Estate, Hospitality Industry and Beauty Products Companies.

This is the story of a Charismatic personality Kamal Prabhakar who from humble beginning climbed to a high pedestal in business.
