Halla Bol Avni Sena organizes play in Adivasi Schools to create awareness about the protection of forests and wildlife
Halla Bol Avni Sena in association with Space Foundation and a few animal activists condemned the inhumane and brutal killing of the tigress Avni by organizing an awakening play to protect animals and love nature at three Adivasi schools in Karjat (rural) area on 7th December 2018! The play was attended by more than three thousand students. A painting competition was also held and prizes were distributed by eminent animal activist and social worker Fizzah Shah.
Elated at the inspirational and motivating play, an Adivasi told Hello Mumbai, “The subject of the play about the preservation and protection of forests and wildlife was quite appealing. It touched the hearts of children as the student took a solemn oath to protect the forest, protect wildlife, stop hunting and planting trees.” He added, “We were honored to have Fizzahji as the Chief Guest but what was most stirring was that she also took part in the play.”
Fizzah Shah told Hello Mumbai, “After the play, we also planted trees at the three venues. It was heartwarming to see young kids who took an active part in singing songs and also gave speeches on nature and wildlife.” She informed, “This entire event was dedicated to and inspired by the brutal and inhumane killing of Avni the tigress on 2nd November at Yavatmal forest.”
“The protest to seek justice for Avni shall continue,” she asserted! -Edited by Mansoor Khan
