Mumbai: Indian Railways has arrived upon a big decision to convert rail coaches into Isolation wards for the benefit of
Coronavirus Patients. There are seperate Medical Coaches for the Medical Staff.
Move comes during nationwide lockdown to battle coronavirus

It is learnt that after minor changes in one coach eight patients could get treatment.

To convert the cabin for a patient the Middle Berth in the coach has been removed.Even the small ladder to climb to the berth too has been removed.
Plastic Curtains will be put up in each cabin.

Features of the isolation coach include bathrooms created by renovating toilets and electrical modifications for medical instruments.

As per Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, the Railways will offer clean, sanitised and hygienic surroundings for the patients to comfortably recover.
