Mumbai: Mumbai Lions Club of Tarapur join hands with Lions District 3231A3 in the project ‘Jeevandaan’ to help Coronavirus affected patients

Mumbai: With the Coronavirus spreading day-by-day and looking at the sorrowful plight of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, all of them struggling to treat Corona Virus patients without adequate protective gear, Lions Club of Tarapur they could do a lot in the rescue operation.

With as many patients falling sick, we assumed that the Club felt that they could do a lot to such personnel falling sick and many being sent for quarantine.

With scarcity of doctors and paramedical staff, we, Lions Club of Tarapur were gripped in fear to get doctors to treat the increasing number of cases.

On receiving the call from our District Governor, the organization immediately contributed Rs 1.50 lakhs to the Jeevandaan Fund.

With this donation and equal donations from other clubs, the organisation were able to donate important protective kits to many hospitals in Mumbai as well as in Palghar District.

Through the Lions Club in Palghar District, the organisation has so far given- 175 PPE Kits, 1000 masks, 20 N95 masks and sanitizers to VVMC and 100 PPE KITS to Rural Hospital Palghar and DHO Palghar

The Tarapur Lions are still flooded with repeated requests and they ensured to help the maximum hospitals

Apart from this, we have distributed food grains to some needy migrant labours in Boisar as well..
