Congress State President Nana Patole Meets Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi

Even though the people of Maharashtra have given a significant majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies, there is no reason why there should be a delay in deciding the Chief Minister. The BJP alliance is not concerned about the welfare of the people of Maharashtra. They want someone who will sell Maharashtra, which is why they will appoint a person as Chief Minister who will blindly sign documents benefiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s favourite industrialists friends, causing the delay, said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole.

Congress State President Nana Patole met Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. Newly elected MP from Nanded, Prof. Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan, along with other Congress MPs from Maharashtra, was also present at the meeting.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Nana Patole stated that the party leadership had been briefed about the Maharashtra Assembly election results. While the results were unexpected, they have not been accepted by the public. People’s sentiments are different, and the Congress Party has always respected these sentiments. Discussions are ongoing about discrepancies with EVMs, with voters alleging that votes cast for one candidate are being transferred to another. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is demanding proof. In light of this, there is a need to launch a public movement against EVMs, added Patole.
