Known for her anti-Modi-BJP rants, actor Swara Bhasker
has joined the Congress party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and today walked with Rahul Gandhi.
The actor admires Rahul Gandhi
for his energy and for his warmth of common people, the enthusiasm of Congress workers, his attention and care toward everyone and everything around him and terms it astounding!
The actor further describes the Bharat Jodo Yatra as radical imagination and expression of resistance to hate and adding that at a time when hate is normal and the dominant logic is that ‘no low is too low as long as the election is won’.
Just as when society is so brutalized that we barely blink at heinous crimes.
Infact Swara has time and again praised Rahul Gandhi. She credits Rahul Gandhi notwithstanding electoral defeats, trolling, personal attacks, and constant critique about being ineffective, the Bharat Jodo Yatra Leader neither succumbed to communal rhetoric nor sensationalist politics.
She signs saying that beset with the situation of this country, an effort like Bharat Jodo is commendable and the right step initiated by Rahul Gandhi.
Swara who everyday wakes up only to slam BJP for doing divisive politics had then dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party’s divisive identity politics as an “unfortunate truth”.
