Noted IMDb contributor and digital marketing professional Ashvin Borad was honoured with the Best Digital Marketing IMDb & Wikipedia Contribution Award at the prestigious Filmfare India International Film Festival (FIIFF) 2026. The grand ceremony was held on 30 April 2026 at the Nehru Centre in Mumbai, bringing together prominent personalities from the film and media industry.
Expressing his gratitude, Ashvin Borad thanked the organisers for recognising his consistent contribution to IMDb and Wikipedia. He extended special appreciation to organiser Vikrant More for providing such a prestigious platform. The award was presented by Sohaib Farooqui, Senior Journalist and Chief Sub Editor at The Times of India (NBT), making the moment even more memorable.
FIIFF has established itself as a global platform celebrating cinematic excellence, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and cinema enthusiasts from across the world. The festival continues to highlight creativity, innovation, and impactful storytelling by recognising outstanding work ranging from independent films to large-scale productions.
Alongside the festival, the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Puraskar of India was also organised, honouring remarkable contributions to Indian cinema. This segment of the event notably focused on celebrating the achievements of women in the industry.
The evening witnessed the presence of well-known personalities including Iulia Vântur, Joe Rajan, Eraam Faridi, Naunidh Singh, and Abhishek Kapoor (Clockwise Production), along with dignitaries from the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association. All awards were presented by IMPPA Vice President Atul Patel.
Ashvin Borad also acknowledged Neena Goel, a Delhi-based NGO founder of Hamaraa Mission Dignity (HMD), as a key source of inspiration. He credited her encouraging words about dedication and honesty as a driving force behind his achievement.
The event was supported by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and NITI Aayog, further reinforcing its stature as a significant platform celebrating excellence in cinema and digital contribution.
