Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 Jul by the nation to honour the brave hearts, who made the supreme sacrifice by laying down their lives for the nation during ‘Operation Vijay.’

INS Hamla had planned to conduct a series of events from 20 to 27 Jul 19 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The events would showcase the valour of the armed forces, with an aim to invoke patriotic fervour. A band concert for the general public was organised at Pinnacle International School on 22 Jul 19 and another will be organised at Infinity Mall on 26 Jul 19. Band would play stirring martial music as well as patriotic songs from Hindi films.

The activities planned at INS Hamla on 26 Jul 19 include Divisions and a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the War Memorial by the Commanding Officer, painting competition by the resident KV School children and a plantation drive by service personnel and families.
