Navin Lade writes to Nitin Gadkari to make mandatory relative’s mobile number displayed on the vehicle’s number plate :
Navin Lade, Founder of Panchsheel Seva Sangh in a letter to Nitin Gadkari –Minister for Road Transport and Highways, shipping and water Resources and Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis has urged to make mandatory displaying of close relative’s mobile number on vehicles number plate and every private hospital should have one ward reserved for accident injured people.
Speaking to media, Navin Lade said, “There are so many accidents taking place in the country. If the accident occurs in a remote place then it is difficult to acquire information about the accident. If the survivor is unconscious and his identity or mobile is misplaced or if it is scattered in the surrounding area then it gets difficult to contact his relatives in time (quickly). Hence if the relative’s mobile number is available on the vehicle then it will be easy to alert the relatives.”
He added, “During accidents, if there is no relative is available then the police department faces a lot of problems and it becomes all the more difficult if the survivor has to undergo an operation urgently. Even the survivor’s treatment gets delayed. The remedy for all these problems can be easy if the mobile number of owner’s relative’s or family members is written on the vehicles number plate (of owner’s vehicle) and a special ward should be reserved in private hospital and the orders should be given accordingly.”
Navin Lade informed, “if the mobile number of nearest relative’s or family members is written on the vehicle’s number plate then it would be easier to contact the survivor’s relatives. And if private hospitals keep a special ward reserved for these accident cases then there will be no need to admit in govt. hospital. He can be taken to a private hospital and his life will be saved. Thereby the number of victims (deaths) will be reduced too!” – edited Mansoor Khan
