Maharashtra Govt Reshuffle: Varsha Ladda Appointed Municipal Commissioner of Amravati
MUMBAI — In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Maharashtra has appointed Varsha Ladda (IAS) as the new Municipal Commissioner of the Amravati Municipal Corporation (AMC). The move is part of a broader bureaucratic realignments involving over two dozen Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state.
Brief Introduction:
Before to this appointment, Ms. Ladda served as the Director General of the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER) in Pune. A 2015-batch IAS officer (promoted from the State Civil Service), she brings a wealth of experience in field administration and urban governance to the Amravati civic body.
Ms. Ladda succeeds the outgoing commissioner as the state looks to accelerate infrastructure projects and improve urban service delivery in the Vidarbha region. Her previous roles include serving as the Managing Director of the Maharashtra Women Economic Development Corporation (MAVIM) and various senior positions in land acquisition and election administration.
