Mumbai: Canada India Foundation Toronto, held its Annual General Meeting which saw the attendence by two Senior Indian Diplomat, His Excellency Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria (Ottawa) and Her excellency Counslate General of India Toronto Ms. Apoorva Srivastava.
The High Commissioner appreciated the whole-hearted support by Canada India Foundation to indian Students as well those Indian who were stranded in Toronto amid Covid-19 induced lockdown.
High Commissioner Ajay Bisraia stated that Canada India foundation is a leader in Promoting Bilateral trade between Canada and India. The AGM was also attended by Senior Indo Canadian Community leaders as well as Co Founder Of CIFS Ajit Someshwar.
Her Excellency Counslate General.Of India, Ms Apoorva Srisvasta acknowledged the dedication and commitment of Anil Shah, the out-going Chairman of CIFS for his dedication and promoting Canada india relationship. A Golf Tournament was held In memory of Galwan Soldiers and their families.
Notably, CIFS raised 50000$.
High Commissioner welcomed the in.coming Chairman Satish Thakkar and wished him best wishes .
During AGM, CIFS Co.Founder Ajit Someshwar’s 65th birthday too was celebrated. High Commissioner also lauded Ajit for his Vision and hard work in maintaining the Canada India Bilateral Trade and Social Cultural relations. .
