Congress Makes a Come Back! BJP wiped out in 4 states!
The much-anticipated results for Assembly Elections 2018 to five states – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Mizoram, and Chhattisgarh are out and all prediction has gone haywire! The Poll –pundits who were favoring the saffron party BJP to display great show has turned super-flop as the BJP has been completely wiped out in the 4 states!!!
BJP has managed to save its face only in Madhya Pradesh where it witnessed a neck-and-neck fight between the ruling BJP and Congress. The BJP has won 106 seats while Congress has 114 and others 10 for a total 230 seats. Speculations are on that either BJP will try to attract the others and form its government but still, the picture is not clear as Congress too would use horse trading to make its government.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi looked delighted as the day proved the happiest day for the Congress and Rahul Gandhi as he proved his skill after he took the reins from his mother Sonia last year. Rahul Gandhi has given a tough fight to Modi as the Congress has emerged as a leading party in two states Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
The assembly elections 2018 regarded as the semi-final before next year’s Lok Sabha Election has thus proved that Rahul Gandhi is no chotta bachha or a Pappu as he has proved he has the potential to give a tough fight to Narendra Modi. This good performance has boosted the Congress’s standing in a possible opposition front to take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao led party Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) won 86 seats and was leading party. BJP had just 2 seats while Congress managed to have 20 seats. Similarly, in Mizoram, the Mizo National Front (MNF) beat the Congress by winning 26 seats and Congress winning just 5 seats. BJP was wiped out with 1 seat.
The assembly results mark a morale booster for Congress Party, which was looking gloomy and almost out with a consecutive defeat. Rahul Gandhi, the Congress president should now aim for a bigger victory in Lok Sabha for which he needs to work hard and make a strong alliance against Modi!
