Cutting Chai 2022 Annual Fest of R.D. National College Gets overwhelming response

RD & SH National College’s BAMMC Department has returned with the 15th edition of one of the oldest, most authentic and unarguably the biggest media festival- Cutting Chai. After almost 2 years of COVID 19 pandemic, Cutting Chai 2022 bloomed in RD National’s Campus (following all the necessary COVID-19 protocols). Without exception, every event right from PR to Investigative Journalism was lived by contingents in one’s own person.

There is nothing quite like Cutting Chai when it comes to bringing students together.

Whether it’s a fierce rivalry, building friendships, or simply a small show of universal inspiration.

“With this year being our 15th year of Cutting Chai, things are only looking up!

After a year of going online, the spirit never died to leave CC’s mark everywhere we go. Every year, CC goes bigger and better and this year, on the 16th, 17th and 18th February, we aim to reach our goal and more for that, my team is working very hard to put up a grand festival!” mentioned BMM coordinator of RD National College, Dr. Meghna Kothari.

Cutting Chai is a phenomenon where students flock in large numbers cheering for their respective colleges, dressing and cosplaying as per the theme of the festival. Every year the theme is different & unique. The theme for the year is The Flame of Hope. The pillars of the event – Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons and the Head of Departments along with the volunteers executed the Day 01 of Cutting Chai 2022, with utmost excellence and ensured that the castle of CC stands strong. The Cutting Chai 2022 team and the college contingents have been diligent to attain the excellence of Cutting Chai’s honour.

Even when the 2020 pandemic hit, the spirit of the disciples of Cutting Chai was still intact. With accurate planning and heavy precautions, “Cutting Chai 2021” was a great success.

The tale might appear nerve wracking initially but CC has always proved the worth and the reason why it’s one of the epic media festivals in the city.

after a grand success of Day 1, there’s only so much to expect from Day 2 and Day 3 what will hit us.

The magic has only begun.
