Hello Mumbai City DeskÂ
Mumbai, April 1, 2026:
The Mumbai Police have issued a public notice regarding several unclaimed vehicles found abandoned in different locations under the jurisdiction of Zone-2 in South Mumbai.
According to the notice released by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-2), multiple vehicles have been seized or found parked in suspicious or unattended conditions across various police station limits. Despite efforts by the authorities, the rightful owners of these vehicles have not come forward to claim them.
The police stated that these vehicles have been lying unattended for a significant period, raising concerns related to security and illegal activities. In view of this, the department has initiated legal proceedings under the provisions of the Maharashtra Police Act.

Dr. Mohit Kumar Garg, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-2), has appealed to the public that anyone having ownership rights, financial interest, or legal claims—such as hypothecation or insurance claims—over these vehicles must come forward and submit the necessary documents.
The notice clearly states that concerned individuals must approach the respective police station within 60 days from the date of publication of the notice (March 30, 2026). Failure to do so will result in further legal action, and the vehicles may be disposed of as per the law.
The police have urged citizens to cooperate and help ensure proper identification and disposal of these vehicles to maintain law and order.
Location: Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-2, Mumba .
