Students Beware From Fake Universities!!

University Grants Commission (UGC) is the statutory Organization of the Government of India that maintains university education. According to UGC, there are many fake universities in India that cheat students by charging huge amount but their degrees are ‘Not Recognized’ by UGC hence they are invalid in the working industry. Thus students who do MBA, BBA, BMS, etc from such bogus universities are rejected and do not get a job!! Shyam Parik, is one such unfortunate student who has been cheated but instead of bogging down he is fighting to expose such Fake Universities in India!

It may be noted Shyam Parik had paid a huge amount to pursue MBA course and had acquired a degree from Mumbai’s Andheri-based National Institute of Event Management (NIEM). After acquiring the MBA degree Shyam was very happy and had dreams of prosperous career but his dreams were shattered when Shyam noticed the name of his university i.e. National Institute of Event Management (NIEM) listed in the ‘FAKE’ Universities recently issued the list of UGC!

Briefing media Shyam Parik said that he was attracted to the college as it showed him rosy dream. He said, “I was assured placement with good salary. But later I came to know the university name did not exist in the list of University Grants Commission (UGC). Hence I approached the college for a refund but they kicked me out!”
Shyam has filed a PIL against the college and has written the letter to State Education Minister Vinod Tawde and other concerned departments about the dubious college. He has also exposed the matter in media.

Readers kindly note – A notice issued by UGC clearly warns students and the public to be alerted about ‘Unrecognized’ institutions. Students can visit UGC website, ugc.ac.in. and check the authenticity of universities as UGC has declared names of universities that are ‘Fake’ and not entitled to confer any degrees.
