On the basis of Complaint failed by Gul Totlani a Thane based Tax Consultant and Chairman of the Midas Bhakti Meadows Allottees Association.Tilak Nagar Police registered an FIR against Naveen Kothari, Irene Edwin DeMello and Edwin DeMello Director of Construction firms Midas Builders and Bhakti Buildwell for allegedly duped 35 home buyers to the tune of Rs 21,23 crore.
While Speaking with Hello Mumbai News Over phone Senior Police Inspector of Tilk Nagar Police Station Mr Dattatray Vittal Patil Confirmed this news, ” Yes we have registered an fir against all three Directors under sections 420,409 ad 120 (B) Indian penal Code and 3,5 and 13 Maharashtra Ownership of Flat Act (MOFA). But Now the amount of Fraud was above more than 10 crore so it has been transferred to Economic Offence Wing Housing Unit.

As per the police complaint, the developer Kothari allegedly accepted money from 35 home buyers from 2013 promising them flats in these sellable components of the project. The developer timely delivered these flats promised to the SRA to rehabilitate slum dwellers. However, he allegedly failed to complete the buildings under sellable components.
According to the FIR Builder Kothari and his real Estate firm accepted money from 35 home buyers and promised them flats in sellable Components of the project Developer timely completed SRA portion of the Project and handed over to SRA and slum Dwellers timely, But fail to complete the Sellable Components.

As per the FIR copy home buyers alleged Developer used their money in another project.Now EOW Inquiry Underway No arrest has made yet.
