The Saki Naka Police have named Sabre Alam and four activists of the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen.

The case has been registered against them under various sections of IPC code including 188 (disobeying the order promulgated by public servant), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and provisions of the Disaster Management Act.

Notably Section 144 CrPc was clamped by Mumbai Police over the weekend prohibiting gathering of more than four persons in the wake of the new Omicron variant cases in Mumbai.
