MIDC Police arrested a Former Contractor of Shivsena (Eknath Shinde gut) from Andheri East K East ward in Connection with an alleged case of demanding and accepting extortion money totalling RS 5 lakh from a Contractor.
The accused Kamlesh Rai is Currently associate with Eknath Shinde Shivsena Faction
According to a senior police officer of MIDC Police Station,we have arrested Kamlesh Rai with raid handed while accepting ransom amount of RS 5 lacs
the extortion deal finalized awas at 35 lakhs Complainant already paid 8 lacs to the accused earlier it was second installment.
The Accused threatened dire consequences if the total money was not paid to him.
” We have booked Kamlesh Rai under BNNS Section 308(2) but due to his health issues He was admitted to hospital after his arrest we appealed to the Court to get his custody” Said Senior Police Inspector of MIDC Police Station .
