In a remarkable achievement Zone 5 in Mumbai have recovered 167 theft Mobile phones,398 gm Gold and Silver jewellery and 22 Motor Vehicles total worth of Rs,1,71,72774 crore.
All these Stolen items were returned to their rightful owners during ‘The Rising Day ‘programme organised in Dharavi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 5 Ganesh Gawade ha urged local residents to report the theft of snatching of mobile phones, Jewellery and other electronic gadgets, as soon as possible police will help them.
Addressing the local residents of Dharavi , Mahim and Dadar Mr Ganesh Gawade stressed prompt reporting , approach to Police Station is key to helping the police trace offenders and recover stolen items.
In an Exclusive Conversation with Hello Mumbai News DCP Ganesh Gawade said,” as if now during this Mumbai Police Sthapna divas programme we returned approximately 1.75 Crore valuation of Gold, Silver, Vehicles and Mobile phones to their owners,In future our such type of initiate will be continued,”.

Mr Ganesh Gawade hinted very Soon he will launch Opration against Local Drug Peddlers and Mafia he wants Drugs free Zone.
” I am very much thankful to Mumbai Police they took my complaint very seriously and I got my property returned, this initiative taken by Mumbai police is very necessary for the safety of Mumbaikars “, one of the property owner expressed his view on this.
More than 300 local residents and property owners from Kurla, Mahim,Dharavi, Mahim and Dadar participated in this Rising Day Programme.
