Conning and luring people with fake tour deals is not something new in Mumbai and in the country as well. The con tour operators in their bid to make big money lure people offering them with fake tour deals.
Fresh news comes to light of two Ghatkopar based brothers identified as Avinash Jadhwani, 26, and Akash Jadhwani, 21,who conned two brothers of Rs.28 lakhs by luring them of a tour package never planned by the brothers who are residents of Garodia Nagar in Ghatkopar.
Ghatkopar Police have taken action against Avinash Jadhwani and Akash Jadhwani on a complaint filed Dilip sitaram Singh. Coincidentally the two fake tour operators happen to be neighbours of the two brothers who have been taken for a ride and cheated by the two fake tour operator brothers. As per Pant Nagar Police, the two accused brothers are history sheeters and are clandestinely involved in around 10 more cases of cheating.
While speaking with Hello Mumbai News over phone Kiran Pisal Investigative officer of the case from Ghatkopar police station confirmed, “yes we have arrested both accused. They are history sheeters and professional cheaters. They are involved in 14 cases against in various police station. They have been running the dubious racket via online and they are expert in online cyber crime. We have arrested them and have produced them before Bhoiwada Holiday Court and got police custody for two days.
It’s our appeal to people if they have become victim of these two accused they can come to our police station and file a complaint against them.
However,Complainant Dilip Singh explained the entire story with us ” Both Avinash and Akash are my neighbours in Garodia Nagar ,in Ghatkopar. Initially they took booking amount from us for a tour package to South Africa. We paid them 22 lacs by check payment. After this they collected remaining amount in the name of Visa ,Processing, Hotel bookings etc . We have given them total Rs.35 lacs .One year has passed and they have neither taken us on Tour neither have they returned our hard earned money. They even stopped answering our phone calls. After this we realised they are cheaters and through this modus operandi they have been cheating people many times. Infact they have been arrested and have half a dozen cheating cases registered against them.
Now Ghatkopar Police have booked them under section 420. 34 IPC .Further investigation is underway.
